Windsor Guest House is one of the newest Townhouse Hotel's. A Grade I listed building, sympathetically restored into a fine townhouse hotel, entirely in keeping with its location, Gt Pulteney Street, which was built between 1769 and 1794 and is one of the most elegant boulevards in Europe.
On arrival at the Windsor, one immediately feels a sense of welcome, the public areas being spacious and bright but retaining a warm, homely feeling.
The hotel has been designed to recreate a "Home away from Home" atmosphere. The space has been optimised to maximise the use of the existing Georgian and Victorian features of this magnificent Townhouse. There are rooms with views facing either the Georgian facades of the city inspired by Palladio or the hills to the South, rooms using the old kitchens, the original servants bedrooms or for the more adventerous, the Bathwick Room which utilises the old vaults in the basement of the hotel.
