General Information
Villa Crespi is a unique building in Moorish style built in 1879. It is dominated by a minaret and surrounded by a wide park sloping to the lake.
The exclusive ambiance of Villa Crespi is of course completed by its restaurant, personally followed by Cinzia and Antonino, which offers a Mediterranean cuisine together with the best Italian and international wines.
Cristoforo Benigno Crespi was born in Busto Arsizio, after becaming a succesful trader in cotton and totally charmed by Bagdad , in 1879 he built this Moorish villa on the land near the lake where he had spent most of his childhood.
During the thirties Villa Crespi was sold to the Marquis Fracassi of Torre Rossano and over the years poets and captains of industry, princesses, kings and queens have graced its halls. Just to mention King Umberto and Queen Margherita of Savoia.
At the end of the eighties, after becoming a spirituality place for a few years and a private house, it has been transformed by its present owner the Lawyer Raffaele Esposito into this exclusive 4-stars hotel where nature, art and history entwine to leave their guests with unforgettable memories.
