TIANXIANG COURTYARD HOTEL BEIJING

Tianxiang Courtyard Hotel Beijing Tianxiang Courtyard Hotel Beijing

General Information

Have you ever lived in Tianxiang Courtyard-Hotel Beijing, the cultural heritage with long history and attractive stories, the agreeable accommodation for your travel in China, the unique facilities as bar serving Tasmania wine, and various guest rooms furnished with imperial dragon bed and royal commodities?

Tianxiang Courtyard-Hotel Beijing is a state-protected cultural heritage. Locating at No. 16 of Shijin Garden Lane, the north of Wangfujing Street, and west of Dongsi N Road. The No. 16 of Shijin Garden Lane was an imposing dwelling with spacious courtyard, consisting of three quadrangle courtyards locating at the north and facing the south—one major and two secondary courtyards. The courtyard is densely structured, well arranged and delicately decorated, which jointly make it one of the few typical courtyard buildings. Thanks to the repair and maintenance in 2005, it was revitalized and became one of the few well-reserved ancient buildings with hundreds of years of history in Beijing.

Since the Ming Dynasty, Dongsi area was the first choice for VIPs in Beijing to live in. The location at the imperial city, the big dwelling and the big space showed the house owner’s status vividly. According to some textual researches, this courtyard was a high official’s mansion in the Imperial Manufacturing Department during Guangxu Period of Qing Dynasty. The influential figure in modern Chinese history—Wu Peifu, one of the Northern Warlords, once lived here with his family in his late years.

Tianxiang Courtyard-Hotel Beijing is characterized by its typical Chinese culture and makes an agreeable place for foreign visitors to stay in. It also integrates hotel rooms, restaurant and bar, being a suitable place for recreation and holiday trip. (It includes deluxe suites, deluxe double room, standard room, dinning hall, bar etc.)

The bar here is called as Tasmania wine cellar which mainly provides wines made by Tasmania, especially the gold prize winner in the World Wine & Spirit Competition—Domaine A by Stoney Vineyard.

In the courtyard, there are four treasures for study (i.e. writing brush, ink stick, ink slab and paper) and the royal pear wood dragon bed in the principal room of the suite, as well as the princesses’ crescent beds in the tapestried chamber. The far-reaching courtyard is an excellent place to drink tea and compose poems, where you can roam in the scenes varying with each step, appreciating the beauties of the garden; sit in the flourishing grasses and trees, talking about tea and doctrines; stop in the elaborately-painted corridor, contemplating the worldly affairs; or sit in the traditional-styled courtyard, sampling delicacies.

Welcome to Tianxiang Courtyard-Hotel Beijing.
