Steigenberger Insel Hotel offers you a theatre box view of Lake Constance. This historical building, a former Dominican Monastery and the birthplace of Graf von Zeppelin; has an absolutely unique location on a small private island just in front of the old part of town. Only a few minutes walk over the bridge and you are taken from this wonderful luxury heritage residence into the historical centre of Constance with its winding lanes, magnificent town hall and beautiful town houses.
"Inselhotel" Konstanz - more than 125 Years' of tradition. The opening of the Black Forest Railway in 1873 and with it, Constance's integration into the railway network, was also a positive step in the development of tourism. The owners of the "Indienne-Manufaktur" in the former Dominican Monastery decided to turn the historical building on the small Lake Constance island into an hotel.
