The hotel is housed in a building dating back to 1900 that was once home to the famous Melantrich printing house and underwent complete refurbishment to transform it into a modern, multi-functional hotel in 2004. This hotel lies within a building that wrote history: from its balcony, President Havel held a speech marking the end of the Communist era in the Czech Republic.
