Built at the turn of the 20th century in 1905, the imposing 4 star Hungaria Palace was originally the favourite haunt of aristocrats of the Austro-Hungarian Empire.
Harking back to the beginnings of the fortunes of the Lido as an exclusive holiday resort, the Hungaria Palace is an imposing and elegant remnant of a bygone era.
Hungaria Palace Hotel was originally built in 1905 and was enriched in 1916 by covering the entire facade with polychromatic majolica tiles. The hotel is a rare example of Art Nouveau and retains much of the character from its illustrious past. The recently restored hotel preserves its early XX century decoration. The furniture in 60 rooms and lounges is original and was made by the famous master ebonist Eugenio Quarti, one of the leading artists of Italian Art Nouveau
From the hotel lobby, through the American Bar and the restaurant, right though to the rooms, guests are sure to appreciate the grandiose architecture, antique furnishings and classical ambience of the hotel.
