Hotel Sacher Salzburg has been the very center of the city's social life since 1866 and has hosted members of reigning houses, aristocrats, scientists, poets, actors, and artists. Hotel Sacher Salzburg was built by Carl Freiherr von Schwarz - is situated in the heart of Salzburg. The hotel has made history over the years, the which the well-kept guestbooks bear witness. A new area began 1988 with the Guertler family, the owner of the well known Hotel Sacher in Vienna. To preserve the atmosphere and uniqueness, renovations and expansion work was carried out so that the hotel presents itself as a meeting point in the heart of Salzburg.
