General Information
Hotel Bellary was built in 1896 by a society of English missionaries, who held domain in an Indian City named Bellary. At the turn of the 19th century, it was visited mainly by members of the European nobility, since it was, at that time, one of the finest hotels on the spot. After changing hands frequently, the hotel was finally bought by the Schild-Nakajima family, who knows owns it in the fourth generation. The homely hotel offers the perfect frame for a relaxing holiday. Have a cup of coffee or tea on the sunny terrace and enjoy the breath-taking view of the surrounding mountains and glaciers. Even Herman Hesse, the famous German writer, was captured by the beauty of the valley.
At the foot of a forest, surrounded by peaceful, green meadows, the hotel is situated at ten minutes walking distance from the train station. The vast garden is a source of pleasure for the young and old. And the view from the balconies and the huge terrace is simply breath-taking.
During the winter season, a ski-bus stop is located right below the hotel, which makes it very convenient for you to reach the trains and skilifts.
