A truly delightful, family run, Fontana Hotel just a stone's throw from St. Mark's Square, the Fontana Hotel has been in the same family for nearly 40 years.
Located in the midst of one of Venice's many small, yet thriving, squares, the Fontana Hotel offers a informal hospitality in a pleasant and friendly manner. This is a traditional hotel without a hint of contemporary furnishings - in fact quite the opposite; the atmosphere and ambience of the public areas is warm and inviting with antique furnishings, marble floors and traditional Venetian paintings.
All in all, the Fontana is well worth a try. (NB. Having been built in the 17th century, the hotel does not have the facility for an elevator)
