Smart-suited concierge, modern art and hand-painted frescoes set the tone as guests are ushered to reception, next to one of the building’s three fairy-tale towers. There are lifts, but the joy of this hotel, reopened by owners Monsieur and Madame Sibuet in 2000, is its labyrinthine feel.
