Catalonia Hotel Gaudi is situated in a wonderful building from the beginnings of the century. The hotel is located in an enviable position, at the far end of the Gran Vía, close to thePlaza Cibeles, this stylish modern hotel is just a short stroll from the Prado and the Thyssen Bornemisza Museum.
When the hotel was built, in 1999, they decided to keep the original façade and the foremost staircase, to preserve its aesthetic charm. Other details that make it unique are the Talavera ceramic tiles from the 19th century and the leaden crystals in the windows.
The hotel was renovated in 2000 and still has the original neoplateresque facade of 1917. Thus it is clear that comfort is not at odds with beauty.
