General Information
The coffee; the frost and the Bourbon Sao Paulo Hotel. A story with a truly Brazilian way. It was at the beginning of the twentieth Century that the first Italian immigrants started to open up the North Region of Parana. Among them; was the Vezozzo family. In a short time; the Italians turned this region into the largest coffee producer center of Brazil. And they did that from a little seed; which grew flavorful red fruits. From that fruit came the famous “Brazilian coffee”; which didn't take long to conquer tastes from around the world. The name of that seed was Bourbon. And the Vezozzo family was one of the most important producers in the region of Cambara; Goioere and Campo Mourão.But; in 1960; a terrible frost – the dark frost – forced the family to transfer its dream; its talent and strong will to other activities.
Going through wood manufacturing and civil construction; the Vezozzo came to what soon was revealed to be their destiny: the hotel business.And the seed; which originated the Brazilian way of making coffee; also originated the Brazilian way of hosting. Since the name Bourbon became the name of the chain.Today; the Bourbon Chain of Hotels and Resorts seeks; in the service to its guests; the same quality that made the Bourbon coffee a legend in the entire world. And puts; in each hotel; the same warmth a Brazilian puts into the preparation of a good coffee.
