AGORA HOSTEL + HOTEL now offers single, double, twin and triple rooms with shared bathrooms in the heart of Catania
Our rooms are in 2 different buildings - our "party" hostel and our quieter, more relaxed hotel in the historical centre.
The hostel also hides an important part of Catania's history with the river Amenano flowing through a 300 year old cave formed by an eruption of Mount Etna.
The hostel is next to the ruins of an ancient roman bath and lies close to the Pescheria, the fascinating street fishmarket and the cathedral and nightlife area.
The hotel is beside the famous "Teatro Massimo", Catania's famous theatre dedicated to Vincenzo Bellini.
Siracusa and Taormina are 1 hour away by train or by bus; the sandy beaches or the lavic coast is 10 minutes by bus
The hostel, run by young english speaking staff, offers you rooms with balconies, breakfast, restaurant, bar, internet access, hot showers, laundry, tv room. It is close to the bus and train stations, 10 minutes from the beach and 10 minutes from the airport. Mt. Etna volcano is just 30 minutes away by car.
Our restaurant is specialized on Sicilian food and it's appreciated by the Cataneses open for lunch and for dinner, pub, the wine bar is underground and with a glass of sicilian wine, a piece of cheese and a typical salami you can join the beauty of the river that flows right there, 20 meters underground.
